Snakes and Ladders

Still working on our subtraction skills, I introduced a new (old) game to the students. Snakes and Ladders! Of course everyone knew how to play this classic board game, but, as usual, I had to throw in a twist: we replaced the rice with the cards we used in yesterday's Connect 4 game. I printed off and laminated a few Snakes and Ladders boards, though they were not the typical 1-100 boards, there were less spaces and no numbers to help the students out. The students didn't really seam to mid I was throwing this extra work at them, they were just mostly excited to play Snakes and Ladders with their friends at school instead of doing work (or so they thought).
