With Halloween around the corner, I decided to do a Halloween-themed art with the students. For this activity I cut out a variety of Halloween shapes (such as cats, hitches, pumpkins and ghosts) out of stock paper. In groups of 4 the students chose two shapes and we taped them onto black construction paper. then the students used sponges to dab orange, yellow, blue and purple paint around their shapes so when we took the stock paper off, they were left with textured paint silhouettes.

Here are the final results!
