We got the Sphero SPRK and have been playing around with programming and coding.

Today I had an amazing experience where my University Indigenous Studies class took a field trip to Toronto Council Fire where we experienced a blanket exercise, were treated to a lovely traditional meal, and were privileged enough to hear the stories of residential school survivors.

Learning your child has a special need can be scary.  It's okay to seek help and learn more about their speical need.

Play based learning is a great way to learn that has been implemented into all Ontario kindergarten classrooms.  It is fun and helps students to learn about things they want to know, but how much are they learning?

I find learning disorders specifically intriguing.  Perhaps it’s because there is so much we don’t know about them yet, or because I am a dyslexic myself. 

Early childhood "is a time when children learn the most that they will ever learn.  It is the foundation of all future learning" (Crowther, 2005).  Bringing together both the educational side of teaching with the emotional and developmental view of the ECE in primary classes is beneficial for all.
