Water Resistant Wax Hearts

Being Valentine's Day, I did a heart craft with the students. This is an activity where the students used wax to crate their hearts, then painted over the wax with water colours. Because the wax made the paper water resistant in the areas they drew, even thought the wax was clear, the paint could not stain the paper where the wax was applied, leaving beautiful, colorful backgrounds with crisp white heart outlines.
