Popsicle Stick Turkey

Once again with Thanksgiving upcoming, I did a craft with the students which they could take home. On large popsicle sticks which I glued together last night, the students drew a simple outline of a turkey (head and body) then pointed it in with brown paint. When it was dry they added goggley eyes, feet, a beak and feathers. Going into this activity I was a little worried they would all turn out the same but I was pleasantly surprised when I realized that each turkey was extremely unique in the way it was drawn and how the features were added.
