Character Trait Web

This week the class read a shorted version of Charlotte's Web and talked about the characteristics of Charlotte and Wilber. For those of you who know the story will know that at the end Charlotte spins a web and rights the words "Some Pig" in it as a compliment to Wilber. In this activity, the students created large webs by tying notes with string to a pip cleaner web frame, then one of their classmates names from a paper bag and had to choose one word to represent them. This word was written on stock paper, decorated and glued to their web.

This is really fun activity to do, even though the web part needed to be done individually. The students were very excited to see whos' name they pulled from the bag and ended up having a lot of fun with this little project.
